Course Description

This course enables the student to learn about the roles and responsibilities of the Nursing Assistant. Student will also learn the procedures, knowledge and training that are essential to being a successful nursing assistant, basic anatomy, crucial testing procedures, the most common ailments a nursing assistant will see in her patients, personal care needs, and proper guidelines for patient mobility.  We will also cover topics such as patients' emotional needs, hierarchy of needs and legal and ethical issues they may face during their career. Return demonstration including patient assistance with activities of daily living, personal care, transfer and positioning, vital sign measurement, intake and output measurement, CBG monitoring, communication, bed making, intake and output monitoring, pre operative and post operative care and elderly care. In this course student will learn about the  character, knowledge and skills a nurse assistant should possess.

The student must successfully meet all objectives of the course; pass quizzes and exams, answer assignments, return demonstration performance and able to participate in the class discussions to be eligible for course completion. At the completion of this certificate, students are eligible to take International Diploma in Nurse Assistant Course.


Introduction

The Nursing Assisstant program is quick, thorough, current and relevant with modules that offers great experience and gives opportunity to the students have career in the healthcare field in just a couple of months. This course is designed to train students to provide basic medical care for patients and help them learn to assist patients with their activities in daily living, such as feeding, bathing and grooming, as well as performing basic medical procedures, like take vital signs, cbg monitoring, taking the height and weight, etc. Student will have a flexible learning through face to face class, return demonstration and online learning.

At the end of the course, the students would be able to:

  1. Understand the primary function of the Nursing Aide/Assistant.
  2. Be prepared to perform the fundamental skills of the Nursing Aide/Assistant thru series of lectures.
  3. Apply the knowledge and skills learned through actual demonstrations.
  4. Introduced to the clinical area utilizing the right knowledge, skills and attitude acquired after the completion of the course.
